Synapso - content management system

Apart from the delivered solution, Seges Ltd. ships a revolutionary content administration console with an innovative a intuitive approach for content management.
The administration console focuses on the whole application, not only on changing of the page's content as seen in other CMS systems. While working with it, the user sees how the page will be presented to its visitor and is able to alter the layout of the page's components. This implies that our solution is not only a content management system, but also a layout management system with a user being able to make use of all its features without having a web programmer and a web designer employed or hired.

Base features of the CMS system:

  • intuitive and easy-to-use user interface allowing the system to be used by users with minimal knowledge of IT,
  • management of various page components:
    • content pages – adding and removing of whole content pages linked to the main menu,
    • text blocks – creating, updating and removing of text blocks within a content page,
    • images – storing of page's images within an image gallery. Dynamic altering of image's properties such as size, positioning and others using simple mouse gestures,
    • external links,
  • „nice URL“ support, management and localization,
  • <drag&drop positioning of page's components (text blocks, images and others),
  • WYSIWYG like component editing, allowing to preview the final page,
  • security – the administration console is password protected and accessible only via a secured protocol which effectively prevents any eavesdropping attempts. The user password is one-way encrypted and stored on the server making it impossible to retrieve and break,
  • indexable by search engines – search engine friendly page content despite making use of the modern AJAX technology which by nature does not support indexing by search engines. This system is revolutionary and unique in the WEB 2.0 world and leaves Seges Ltd. unmatched in the field of dynamic web application development,
  • optimized data transfer – thanks to AJAX features such as data compression, dynamic update of page components instead of updating the whole page and others reduce the amount of data sent to the clients to the minimum, making the page highly optimized for fast loading (in general, the data fragments sent to the clients are at most 10kB large depending on the content).

SAIS - attendance and management system

SAIS is an attendance monitoring and employee management system with several functionalities including employee's attendance recording, monitoring and evaluation, vacation and business trip management, task management and statistical evaluation of employee's efficiency during the solving of given tasks.

It supports creating of statistical and summary reports in the form of tables and multiple types of charts. The workflow of various events like vacation and business trip is supplemented with e-mail notification. The system reflects a company's organizational structure and helps to keep track of employee's everyday activities.
Netbeans platform

Key features include:

  • employee's attendance recording and evaluation,
  • vacation and business trip management,
  • interoperability with calendar software, that enables the use of common calendar applications (Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Sunbird/Lightning, Evolution, Kontact and others) to track user's activities,
  • interoperability with the issue management system Mantis, that enables to manage and monitor business issues and tasks given to employees,
  • statistical evaluation of overall employee's efficiency in the process of issue solving,
  • high grade of modularity, extensibility, security and a feature rich yet still user-friendly graphical user interface thanks to the client-server architecture with a Netbeans Platform powered thin client.
SAIS is aimed to be fully customizable according to customer's needs. Underlying Netbeans Platform technology supports an automatic update capability, a user-friendly interface and vast options for extensibility.

The system contains the following modules:

  • attendance module – recording, tracking and evaluation of employee's attendance, calculating of the remaining vacation days, meal tickets, salary and other aspects of the company-employee relationship,
  • vacation and business trip management module – management of employee's vacations and business trips including the e-mail notification of the employee's supervisors,
  • issue management module – frontends to issue management systems like Mantis.
  • user management module – management of system users including multiple authentication methods i.e. via a relational database authentication, LDAP, Active Directory and others.
SAIS

Claims - claimings management system

The advertising system, built for the company Mcena is a system for the management of business claimings.
Along traditional database operations the system sports a powerful, fast and efficient search engine, able to query the database according to various search criteria and to create statistics reports of various levels of complexity. The system is connected with a warehouse information system allowing the synchronization of data between the systems and speeding up the work of Mcena's employees. The data is protected againts loss during database failure with a backup module, which automatically backs the system's database onto another server instance.

Information system Claims is built using .NET technologies (C#). It is a stadard three-tier architecture information system. The data tier is represented by a MS SQL 2005 Express database, allowing multiple networking clients to connect to one database.

FacilitIS - facility management system

Information system Facilities monitors the utilization of gym halls and office compartments. Gathered data is evaluated and presented to the user in the form of comprendious statistical reports.
The main aim of the system is to unify the process of creating a schedule for the rent halls and offices. Thanks to it's modular architecture, the system has been connected with module responsible for economic monitoring ? billing and expenses monitoring.

Facilitis is a client-server application built using a mix of stadard Java and J2EE technologies.

MAIS - modular academic information system

The Modular Academic Information System covers the management of all data stored and handled before and during the studies at a slovak university.
The processes used confirm the latest law legislation in Slovakia. The system is fully modular and the modern and advanced technologies used in the system allow it to cooperate with supplement systems already running at various universities. The base characteristics of MAIS are: open architecture, high level of scalability and a modular desing.

Project MAIS takes use of modern open source technologies, which significiantly reduce it's deployment and running costs. On the other side, the chosen technologies are well known to be efficient, stable and widely used in other open source and commercial products. Plenty of available documentation, publications, forum and support sites guarantee a sufficient technical support and trouble-free serviceability of all chosen components.

Ordero - order management system

The statistical information system Ordero, developed for the company Dr. Oetker Food Service, serves for recording, storing and evaluating of business activities, in the process of distributing and selling of products to company's clients all accross the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
Ordero is a web application built using the most reliable, modern and progresive J2EE technologies.
Clients, the business representatives of Dr. Oetker Food Service, management, marketing and others, connect to the system via their favourite web browser, mobile phone, smartphone and other simillar devices.

VAB - contact management software

VAB is a contact management system deployed within a web portal of the Austrian mobile phone operator A1.net.
< Thanks to it’s centralized architecture it replaces its standard desktop counterparts and enables the user to access his contact information comfortably form every place on globe with internet access. Furthermore the integration with A1.net's other systems makes room for new features like SMS sending, birthday and anniversary notification and sending of contact details via vCards directly onto the mobile phones.

Base features include:

  • centralized contact management with group support and fast search engine thanks to used LDAP technology for storing of data,
  • web interface,
  • contact import/export from/to addressbook desktop applications with support for various file formats i.e. CSV, Outlook export, ldif, vCard,
  • SMS sending, birthday and anniversary notification,
  • sending of contact details directly onto mobile phones using vCards – support for various mobile phone brands and types.

Vincha - presentation and order management system

Vincha is a presentation and ordering information system developed for MCena s.r.o. that serves presentation purposes of company's products all accross Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary.
Inspired by the famous Picasa picture organizer, Vincha's main functionality is the presentation of company's products in a categorically ordered fassion, whereby information about the stock status is displayed along the product's picture and main description. The product data and stock status is synchronized with the company's warehouse information system accross the internet, what makes the system even by very large amount of data (houndreds of MB) very dynamic and flexible. Along the presentation functionality, Vincha contains a module for creating and managing of orders, which is also connected to the warehouse information system, so the user always gets the actual information about the product's price and availability.

Information system is based on Java/J2EE platform.
